The Chiquet family ran Jacquesson from Dizy until 2022 and introduced the numbered Cuvée 700 series. Its first edition, Cuvée 728, drew on the 2000 harvest; the number came from the house’s cellar book. Artémis Domaines acquired the house at the end of 2022.
A blend renewed each harvest
Cuvée 700 combines a leading harvest with reserve wine. Jacquesson uses first-press juice and wooden vats, then holds some bottles for late disgorgement. The regular and Dégorgement Tardif releases have different ageing periods; the house’s published descriptions differ on the precise extra time, so that figure belongs to a particular release.
The present team and range
The 2026 programme names Mathilde Prier as vineyard manager and Yann Le Gall as wine manager. Its releases include Cuvée 749, late-disgorged Cuvée 744 and Avize Champ Caïn 2015, a parcel wine from Avize. The people, harvest and parcel choices give each release its place in Jacquesson’s range.
