Rare Champagne’s range consists of selected vintage wines. The brand emerged from Piper-Heidsieck’s Rare prestige cuvée and became a separate name in 2018. There is no permanent non-vintage release to serve as a fixed baseline.
Two lines through the vintages
The current collection includes the white Rare Millésime 2013 and Rare Rosé Millésime 2014. Earlier releases include Millésime 2008, named “Infini,” and a 2012 rosé. Each has its own published harvest and tasting account, so comparing the wines starts with the release year and blend.
The producer’s site records past collaborations and individual bottles; it does not set out a routine public cellar-tour programme in Reims. The wines are best approached through the release details and the bottle in hand.
Émilien Boutillat has also worked on Rare Champagne. His appointment as Bollinger's cellar master is effective 1 October 2026.
