Delamotte’s current work centres on Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. François Delamotte founded the house in Reims in 1760; Marie-Louise de Nonancourt established its Le Mesnil-sur-Oger chapter in 1927.
A four-wine range
Brut and Rosé sit alongside non-vintage and vintage Blanc de Blancs. Delamotte says its non-vintage Blanc de Blancs is fermented in stainless steel and aged on lees for four to five years before disgorgement. This is a defined method for that wine, while the vintage Blanc de Blancs expresses the fruit of a single harvest.
