Arnon “KK” Hoontrakul is a Thailand-based restaurateur and bar owner associated with Opium Bar in Bangkok’s Chinatown, where he is credited with creating the bar’s “Liquid Surreality” concept and founding the venue above Potong in the historic Yaowarat area. He was born and raised in France and owns several restaurants, bars, and coffee shops across Thailand and France. He is the owner/founder of Opium Bar and notes his broader work in Bangkok’s food-and-drink scene.
