Carrie Vik and Alexander Vik launched the VIK wine project in 2004, then acquired their Millahue estate in Chile's Cachapoal Valley after a two-year scientific search for a South American terroir. She remains a visible founder of the winery and its hospitality and cultural program at the estate named The World's Best Vineyard in 2025.
