Burgundy's cellar and vineyard work asks for close reading of site, season, and family holdings. Training at Dijon preceded Cécile Tremblay's assumption of control of the family vineyards. She worked as winemaker at a facility in Vosne-Romanée. Control of the family vineyards has been in her hands; the first wines under the Domaine Cécile Tremblay label followed, and she remains owner and winemaker of Domaine Cécile Tremblay, having taken control of the family vineyards and launched the domaine label in 2003.

The current work is based at Domaine Cécile Tremblay in Morey-Saint-Denis, France, where Tremblay is owner.
