    i. Biography

    Dan McKee is Michter’s Master Distiller, based in Kentucky, where he oversees distillation and the brand’s production standards at Michter’s Shively and Fort Nelson operations. Michter’s says he was born and raised in Indiana, moved to Kentucky to pursue whiskey making, and first worked in the bourbon industry as a distillery operator at Jim Beam before being promoted to distillery supervisor at Booker Noe Distillery. He joined Michter’s after being brought in by Pamela Heilmann, and by May 2019 he had been elevated to Master Distiller.
