Danny Meyer

Danny Meyer is the founder and executive chairman of Union Square Hospitality Group, the New York hospitality company behind Union Square Cafe and Gramercy Tavern. He launched Union Square Cafe in 1985 at age 27, and the restaurant became the foundation for a portfolio that later included Gramercy Tavern, The Modern, Daily Provisions, Ci Siamo, and Union Square Events. He is also the founder of Shake Shack and Hospitality Quotient, and has been recognized by Cornell as a 2023 Hospitality Icon of the Industry.
