Fátima Juárez is a chef and co-founder of Komal, the masa and antojitos stall at Mercado La Paloma in Los Angeles’s Historic South-Central neighborhood. She is described as the chef-founder and executive chef behind Komal, which opened on September 25, 2024, and focuses on Mexican heirloom corn, nixtamalization, and Mexico City-inspired street food. Prior to Komal, she worked at Holbox and helped build its in-house masa program, and she later became associated with a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition for Komal in 2025.
