    Training at University of California, Davis gave Gary Jordan a formal footing in wine before he spent time in field geology at Geological Survey. He moved into wine full-time in 1985 as part of the estate team at Jordan Wine Estate, and later served as Past Chairman at Cape Winemakers Guild. Today, Gary Jordan is owner and winemaker of Jordan Wine Estate, senior judge of South African Trophy Wine Show, and lecturer of Michael Fridjhon Wine Judging Academy.
