i. Biography
The Path
Winemaking here is built on formal study and cellar responsibility rather than origin-story gloss. Helen Keplinger studied at Smith College and then trained at the University of California, Davis in 2000. The production record moved through Kenzo Estate, where she became winemaker in 2005, and Bryant Family Vineyard, where she made wine until 2012. The current work centers on Keplinger Wines, with additional winemaking roles at Grace Family Vineyard, Carte Blanche, and Kerr Cellars. “I always had an intense curiosity for science, a huge appreciation of art, and a gravitation toward and revitalization in nature — all which dynamically come together in winemaking.” Helen has said.
Today
