Stewardship in Saint-Aubin is a practical role before it is a title: vineyard inheritance, cellar restraint, and continuity across parcels in Burgundy. At Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet, Jean-Baptiste Bachelet works alongside his brother Benoît Bachelet on wines from the home village, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, within a family domaine whose roots reach back to the 17th century.

Bachelet describes it as a mineral and tight wine that becomes interesting after 4 to 5 years, while becoming accessible sooner than Puligny or Chassagne.
