The current work at Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet is continuation rather than reinvention. Jean-Baptiste Bachelet carries the domaine name forward through the day-to-day discipline of stewardship at the estate.

Minimal intervention in the cellar sets the operating frame at the domaine, where Bachelet remains steward with Benoît. New oak is used judiciously, kept in service of wines intended to register purity and terroir rather than wood signature. Precision in Burgundy depends on balance as much as intensity. The estate is associated with terroir-driven red and white wines built around purity, complexity and deliciousness, with a broader reputation for expression of place and minimal-intervention winemaking.

The range is anchored in the home appellation, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. One signature example is the 2021 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru blended from Clos de Montceau, La Chatenière and Combe au Sud; speaking of the 2021 wines, Bachelet said, "The wines are not big, but they managed to attain concentration. I believe the second winter is necessary to gain more tension and freshness." Le Charmois, a premier cru, marks another point in the domaine’s register. Bachelet describes it as a mineral and tight wine that becomes interesting after 4 to 5 years, while becoming accessible sooner than Puligny or Chassagne.

Signature bottlings include Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Le Charmois.
