i. Biography
Jean-Luc Thunevin is a French wine producer, négociant, and consultant who founded Château Valandraud in Saint-Émilion in 1989, launching the influential Bordeaux "garagiste" movement with the estate's debut 1991 vintage. Nicknamed the "Bad Boy of Bordeaux" by Robert Parker, he built Valandraud into an internationally estate promoted to Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé. He also manages properties across Pomerol and Roussillon alongside his négociant house SAS Thunevin.
