At Domaine Sainte-Anne, the focus stays on the estate’s Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Saint-Gervais wines, made from land tied to the family since the 1965 purchase. That continuity is the point. The old priory bought by Guy and Anne Steinmaier remains part of the same working landscape, and the wines emerge from a property whose identity has been built over time rather than borrowed for effect. The job asks for range and consistency in equal measure. It moves from the vineyard to direct contact with the customer, keeping production and presentation in one line of work. Jean Steinmaier’s practice is defined by that regularity: showing up for the land, for the wines, and for the people who come to the estate for both.
