i. Biography
Jen Oishi is the winemaker at Gray Monk Estate Winery in Lake Country, British Columbia, where she began in an interim lab role in 2012 after completing a microbiology degree at the University of British Columbia. She was promoted to assistant winemaker in 2015 and appointed lead winemaker in 2020, working under longtime mentor Roger Wong. Sources describing her background also note that she was born and raised in the Okanagan.
