Training and Lineage
Viticulture at this level is built on formal agronomy, cellar discipline, and exposure to benchmark regions. Klaus Peter Keller trained at Geisenheim University, then worked as an intern at Domaine Armand Rousseau in Burgundy, before taking responsibility for Weingut Keller in 2001.
The Work Today
Estate scale is treated as a production choice, not a growth target. At Weingut Keller, Klaus Peter Keller keeps the focus on Dry Rieslings and on a size that allows daily vineyard work and direct oversight. His position is stated plainly: “I don’t want our estate to become any bigger. I want to be standing in my vineyards daily.”
