i. Biography
Lou Kapcsándy (1936-2021) was the owner and co-founder of Kapcsándy Family Winery in Yountville, Napa Valley. He emigrated from Hungary to the United States in 1956, built a career in chemical engineering and manufacturing in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle, and later partnered with his son, Louis Jr., to create the winery after retiring from business in 2003.
