i. Biography
Michelle Karr-Ueoka is the co-owner and executive pastry chef of MW Restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii, which she opened in 2013 with her husband, chef Wade Ueoka. Born and raised in Honolulu, she graduated from Punahou School and built her pastry career after working for years in the kitchens at Alan Wong’s before focusing on desserts. She has been recognized as a James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef and received a Rising Star Chef Award as a pastry chef.
