Paco Hurtado de Amézaga

Francisco Javier Hurtado de Amézaga, known as Paco, is the winemaker and family representative at Marqués de Riscal in Rioja, one of the region’s oldest wineries. He is identified in winery and wine-press coverage as the fifth generation of the family behind Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal and as the director general técnico y de producción of the house. Coverage from the winery also notes that he served in that technical and production leadership role for 56 years and received the recognition “Leyenda del Vino.”
