Paul-Vincent Avril

Paul-Vincent "Vincent" Avril is the fourth-generation proprietor and winemaker of Clos des Papes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France. After completing viticultural studies in Beaune and stages across Bordeaux, Provence, and Australia, he returned to manage his family's estate in 1988. Under his leadership, Clos des Papes earned international acclaim, including Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year for the 2005 vintage, while adhering strictly to organic farming and a single-cuvée philosophy.
