Rui Silvestre is a Portuguese chef who became the new chef of Fifty Seconds in Lisbon in 2024, succeeding Martín Berasategui at the restaurant atop Torre Vasco da Gama. The official Fifty Seconds site says he took over the restaurant after a first chapter under Berasategui and identifies him as chef Rui Silvestre at the Michelin-starred venue. He is also described in coverage as having earned his first Michelin star at age 29, making him one of Portugal’s youngest chefs to do so.
