At Pizzeria Paradiso, the work has been owned and directed by Ruth Gresser since 1991. The role has been continuous, and the responsibility is straightforward: keep the pizza, the room, and the operation aligned.

The Work Today

Pizza is the center of the line at Pizzeria Paradiso, and that focus has held for decades under Ruth Gresser. Her standard for the craft is direct: care for the people in the kitchen and dining room, care for the food, care for the condition of the restaurants, and care for the service that leaves the pass. The same attention extends beyond the business itself to the way the place behaves in the world. That kind of hands-on stewardship is what has defined the restaurant since 1991.
