Sarah Elsom

Sarah Elsom is a New Zealand distiller from Dunedin who works at Cardrona Distillery and is the head/master distiller there. She was born and bred in Dunedin, studied Viticulture and Oenology at Lincoln University, and previously worked in wine before moving into distillation at Cardrona, where she was initially hired as a distillery hand. Profiles also note that she has led an all-female distilling team and had full responsibility for production and operations at the distillery after a leadership change.
