i. Biography
Shinya Koba is the owner-bartender of Yakoboku, a cocktail bar in Kumamoto, Japan, and the venue entered Asia’s 50 Best Bars, ranking No. 25. He returned home after five years in Singapore and opened Yakoboku in 2020; he also worked at Lamp Bar in Nara under bartender Michito Kaneko before opening his own bar.
