Stuart Brioza

Stuart Brioza is the chef and co-owner of State Bird Provisions, The Progress, and The Anchovy Bar in San Francisco, operating with his wife and collaborator Nicole Krasinski through Atomic Workshop. The group opened State Bird Provisions in 2012, The Progress in 2014, and The Anchovy Bar in 2020; their restaurants have earned Michelin recognition, including stars for State Bird Provisions and The Progress. He was named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs in 2003 and is associated with ingredient-driven California cooking focused on seasonal produce and sustainable seafood.
