Chris Thomson

Chris Thomson is Lark Distillery’s master distiller and blender in Hobart, Tasmania, where he has worked since 2007 after joining as an inexperienced bottler at age 20. He rose through Lark’s production ranks over nearly two decades and is credited in coverage as helping shape the distillery into one of Australia’s most awarded whisky producers. In January 2026, he was named Master Distiller/Blender of the Year – Rest of the World at the World Whiskies Awards Icons of Whisky.
