i. Biography
Donato Poto is the co-owner and general manager of Providence, the Michelin-starred seafood restaurant in Los Angeles that he opened with chef Michael Cimarusti in 2005. Born in Salerno on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, he attended culinary trade school and began his hospitality career working front of house in Italy and France, later including a stint on the luxury cruise liner MS Stardancer. He is also a partner at Connie and Ted’s in Los Angeles and has been associated with Providence’s front-of-house leadership for nearly two decades.
