Evangelista Carlo Cinque

Evangelista Carlo Cinque appears to be the same person referred to as Carlo “Carlino” Cinque, the founder of Il San Pietro di Positano on the Amalfi Coast. The hotel’s official site says he conceived the property, purchased the promontory between Positano and Praiano, began construction from his own house, and opened Il San Pietro on 29 June 1970. A 2025 official hotel feature says he later co-owned the hotel with his brother Vito, while another official article describes Carlo as an Economics and Commerce graduate who served as Administrative Director and handled the hotel’s accounting and fiscal responsibilities.
