Jean-André Charial

Jean-André Charial is the owner, CEO, and longtime chef-proprietor of the luxury Baumanière estate in Les Baux-de-Provence, France, which includes the three-Michelin-starred restaurant L'Oustau de Baumanière and La Cabro d'Or. After graduating from HEC Paris and completing culinary apprenticeships under legendary chefs including Alain Chapel, Paul Bocuse, and the Troisgros brothers, he joined the estate in 1969 alongside his grandfather Raymond Thuilier. Charial assumed full leadership in 1993, modernizing the estate and leading L'Oustau de Baumanière to regain its third Michelin star in collaboration with chef Glenn Viel, while also producing biodynamic wines in the Baux-de-Provence appellation.
