Manuel Jesús Nieves is the oenologist and apprentice winemaker at Bodegas Emilio Hidalgo in Jerez de la Frontera, where he has worked full time since earning his licentiature in Chemistry from the University of Cádiz in 2004. He is the successor to his father, Manuel Nieves, who served as capataz at Emilio Hidalgo for decades; some sources also identify Manuel Jesús as capataz and cellar master, indicating a transition or overlapping role description.
