He came out of a non-winemaking family in the Jura, and that distance from inherited practice seems to have sharpened Marc Soyard’s attention to the work itself: reading a site closely, keeping to the discipline of the vine rows, and building knowledge through repetition. Before his current post, he worked as chef de culture at Domaine Bizot in Vosne-Romanée.
