i. Biography
Rob Mann is a sixth-generation Australian winemaker who joined Swinney in Frankland River in 2018 after senior roles at Hardy’s Tintara in McLaren Vale, Cape Mentelle in Margaret River, and Newton Vineyard in Napa Valley. Swinney’s official site describes him as a winemaker focused on letting the vineyard shine, with a philosophy that “great wine is made in the vineyard.” Cape Mentelle’s official materials identify him as Senior Winemaker and Estate Director during his tenure there.
