Ryan Bailey is the co-owner, director of operations, and wine director at Kato in Los Angeles. He joined Kato in 2018 and helped move the restaurant to its current larger home at ROW DTLA in the Arts District, where he oversees a wine program of roughly 2,000 to 3,000 selections and the restaurant’s beverage direction. Kato, led by Bailey and chef Jon Yao, won the Resy One To Watch Award 2024 and the James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine and Other Beverages Program in 2026.
