Tom Carson is an Australian winemaker associated with Yering Station, Coldstream Hills, Serrat, Yabby Lake Vineyard, and his personal project Distant Noises. Official winery sources state that he graduated as a winemaker in 1991, worked vintages in Burgundy and at Coldstream Hills, became chief winemaker at Yering Station in 1996, and later became general manager and chief winemaker for Yabby Lake from July 2008. Yabby Lake’s official site also says his Yering Station tenure brought major international recognition, including International Winemaker of the Year at the 2004 International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
