i. Biography
Tom Wisdom is the owner and managing director of Plantagenet Wines in Mount Barker, Western Australia, where he and his wife Jo Wisdom have held ownership since 2021. Plantagenet says his connection to the winery began in 1994, he returned as general manager in 2018, and he has helped steward the brand’s Great Southern, cool-climate wine legacy. He is a sixth-generation descendant of Lionel Samson, linking him to Western Australia’s oldest family business.
