Val M. Cantu

Val M. Cantú is the chef and owner of Californios in San Francisco, a modern Mexican tasting-menu restaurant that opened in 2015 in the Mission District and later moved to SoMa. He is serving market-focused, seasonal cuisine through a Mexican lens, and Californios earned two Michelin stars before becoming the first Mexican restaurant in the world to receive three Michelin stars.
