Set above the Douro River near Cotas, between Pinhão and Alijó, Quinta da Romaneira has more than 260 years of recorded history. Its 86 planted hectares span traditional Douro grapes alongside smaller parcels of Syrah and Petit Verdot. A mostly underground winery built in 2005 combines temperature-controlled stainless-steel lagares with a cellar designed for precise, practical production. Carlos Agrellos has led the winemaking team since succeeding his uncle António in 2017.
