Bintou N’Daw Young is the chef and owner of Bintü Atelier, a West African restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina, which opened in 2023 and has been recognized by Bon Appétit and Esquire among notable new restaurants. She is described in local and official Charleston food listings as a Dakar-born chef who later grew up on the island of Saint-Louis, Senegal, and brought her sauce production to South Carolina before opening Bintü Atelier.
