i. Biography
Derk Albada Jelgersma is a Dutch wine estate proprietor and co-owner of AJ Domaines, which encompasses Château Giscours in Margaux, Bordeaux and Caiarossa in Riparbella, Tuscany. Following the passing of his father Eric Albada Jelgersma in 2018, Derk assumed joint ownership and governance of the family estates alongside his siblings Dennis and Valérie. Under their stewardship and the operational leadership of general manager Alexander van Beek, the family consolidated full ownership of Château Giscours and continues to develop their international wine estates.
