Étienne Grivot

Étienne Grivot is the winemaker and longtime head of Domaine Jean Grivot in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy, where he joined the family estate in 1982 after completing his military service and progressively took charge of the domaine through the 1980s. He and his wife Marielle took over from his father Jean Grivot in 1987, and later he began handing responsibility to their children, with daughter Mathilde taking over in 2017. His work is associated with the estate’s grand cru holdings in Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, and Echézeaux, and with a style often described as pursuing finesse and a more respectful approach to vineyard work.
