Odilon de Varine

Odilon de Varine is the head winemaker and deputy general manager of Champagne Gosset, the historic Champagne house in Aÿ, a role he has held since 2006 and 2016 respectively. Gosset’s official site states that he perpetuates the work of his predecessor Jean-Pierre Mareigner, while other industry profiles identify him as the cellar master/chef de cave for the house. He studied enology in Reims, began his career in Alsace, and later held cellar-master roles at Champagne Deutz and Champagne Henriot before joining Gosset.
