Izak Basson

Izak Basson is a South African viticulturist at Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch, where he joined in 2015 to assist the late viticulturist Roelie Joubert. He is originally from Piketberg and completed a diploma in Agriculture at CPUT in 2010 after initially studying teaching there, then worked with table grapes before moving into wine. He is meerlust’s viticulturist presenting the estate’s wines at a Zimbabwe wine show.
