i. Biography
Jérôme Billard is the oenologist and current guardian of Domaine de la Noblaie in Chinon, Loire Valley, where the family estate is a 26-hectare vineyard. He took over the family property in 2003 after training in oenology and completing stages at Pétrus, Dominus Estate in Napa Valley, and Sacred Hill in New Zealand. Official and trade sources also note that he leads the estate’s organic, hand-harvested production in Ligré, Chinon.
